Q. Why does the Alliance have 3 members per category whereas BNI has only 1? A. We believe members get even more referrals when they collaborate with their competitors.
Q. Why do you only meet once a month versus once a week? A. Our members are very busy, however we promote meeting with the other members throughout the month. Connections are what create trust and business.
Q. What are some ways the Alliance supports it's members? A. Traditional referrals provided by every member of the group. Competitor referrals. Together we'll hand pick competitors to team up with. Local Facebook group promotion for the Alliance and each member will attract referrals outside the group. The Alliance also supports its members by connecting them not only with strategic partners but with competitors—helping them maximize their membership and grow their business.
Q. How many different memberships does the Alliance have? A. 2. Membership for the home services group and membership for the upcoming affiliate group.
Q. What do the meetings consist of? A. News/info. regarding the Alliance. Introductions. Exchanging referrals. Sharing experiences. Networking. The main reason for meeting is to establish and foster relationships and trust.
Q. What rules are there? A. Here is a link to that page. Our biggest rule is “2 strikes and you’re out.” If a client or member files a complaint against you, that counts as your first strike. A second complaint—whether from another member or a client—will result in removal from the group. Each situation will be carefully reviewed before any action is taken.
Q. What experience does the creator of the group Robby Meyers have? A. He has almost 10 years experience in a group with 50 members. He also has almost 2 years experience with starting and running a group.
Q. What is the main focus of the Alliance? A. To connect quality home service providers and to exchange quality referrals.
Q. What is the Alliance plan? A. To create more groups in southern and central Oregon. Which will offer even more referrals from friends and family of outside groups. All groups working together with a minimum amount of meetings so you can focus on your business.
Q. As a member what do I need to bring to the table? A. Members need to attend every meeting (if humanly possible). Members also need to provide the best when it comes to servicing clients and fellow members' clients. Give and earn trust with your fellow members. As we begin our group together it is imperative that we grow the group. Each member is required to bring one new member per month for the first few months. Thereafter we will have membership drives but not very frequently. Members are also required to bring at least one referral each month.
